For small and local teams

You don't need an analyst on staff to report clearly

A lot of the reporting done by local businesses, restaurant groups, retail chains, service companies, nonprofits, happens without a dedicated data or analytics function. Whoever manages the point-of-sale system, the booking calendar, or the grant spreadsheet ends up writing the monthly summary by default. This workshop was shaped with that setup in mind, not around enterprise business intelligence teams.

Common situations

Where this shows up in a local business

Monthly sales recaps

Turning a point-of-sale export into a short summary an owner or partner can read in two minutes.

Grant and funder updates

Nonprofits often need to show progress toward outcomes in a one-page format that a program officer will actually read.

Multi-location comparisons

Retail or service groups with several locations often need to compare performance across sites without turning the comparison into a spreadsheet dump that nobody opens twice.

Investor or lender updates

A short, clear one-pager tends to land better than an attached spreadsheet with no framing.

How sessions are arranged for smaller teams

Local businesses often send a small group, sometimes just two or three people, rather than a full department. The workshop format adjusts comfortably to that scale.

In-person in the South Bay

Sessions can be held at a shared workspace or at your location if there's a suitable room for the group.

Small cohorts welcome

There's no minimum headcount requirement. Sessions have run with groups as small as two or three people.

Bring the actual report

The point-of-sale export, the funder template, the location comparison sheet. Whatever the recurring pain point is.

Flexible scheduling

Half-day sessions can be scheduled around business hours, including early mornings before a shop opens.
